Hypertension & Wellness Sunday
This signature EHI event, named in honor of its co-founder Dr. Frank E. Staggers Sr., started more than 25 years ago in celebration of National Heart Health Awareness and Black History month. Now a collaboration between EHI鈥檚 Health Ministry Network and 海角直播, we aim to educate communities of color about the risks of high blood pressure and help them learn whether they are showing signs of hypertension 鈥 often called the 鈥渟ilent killer鈥 because people can have it for years without symptoms 鈥 which can lead to serious health problems like heart attack and stroke. Over the years, thousands of congregants and community members in the Bay Area and beyond have been screened, educated, and empowered.
